Purpose of the role:

    Working with cutting edge motorsport products you will be able to deliver bespoke electrical systems to support our current and future motorsport projects.  Reporting to the Controls and Electrical Systems Manager for Motorsport you will be responsible for the production of high quality Electrical and Electronic components, looms and assemblies using Autosport, Aerospace and OEM connectors, MIL spec wiring, heat shrink moulded parts and electronic test equipment.  You will be a vital member of the E/E team supporting both production builds and the design and development of future projects and architectures.

      Principal accountabilities:

      • Potting and termination of electrical sensors and actuators
      • Manufacture of power cables and ground cables
      • Contributing to electrical system design
      • Manufacture of prototype harness assemblies
      • Supporting Design For Manufacture activities with key suppliers, Buyers and Designers
      • Managing stock levels of electrical components and consumables
      • Support the Purchasing team with the selection and management of key motorsport suppliers to implement the best strategy for the E/E design and application
      • The work involves motorsport cutting-edge E/E platform technologies, with a wide and complex scope touching optimisation, robust design, network communication, diagnostics, offering a great opportunity of personal and technical development

        Skills & personal attributes:

          • BTEC HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
          • Demonstrable practical experience in a similar role within Automotive/Motorsport industry
          • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
          • High self-motivation, willingness to learn and develop
          • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment with a positive approach to tasks
          • Good understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software
          • Deep passion for Automotive/Motorsport EE Architectures and Electronic Controls Systems
          • Good knowledge of automotive network protocols, e.g. CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
          • Willingness to travel as required in order to support the Motorsport activities
