Position – Systems Engineer/s (RF / HF / BLOS) 
Type – Contract
Rate – Circa £70.00 per hour Umbrella Company – (Negotiable DOE) 
Duration – 12 Months +
Hours – Typically 38 hours per week
Determination – Inside IR35
Security – UK SC / DV Security Clearance to be in place
Location’s – Forest Moor, North Yorkshire / Bristol / Hybrid working (Please specify on application)
Start Date – ASAP ?

Our client’s Mission Systems is growing, and we need you to support us delivering the next generation of Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Radio Frequency (RF) Communications solutions for a variety of national and international customers.

We are looking for a number of energetic and driven individuals to join our expanding teams in the UK with skills in:

You will work collaboratively in a team of multi discipline engineers, subject matter experts and the customer to mature and develop creative solutions for our current and future clients.  You will use your knowledge to drive innovative solutions through the design, build, integration and acceptance phases.

    What you will be doing

  • Integral part of the design team, maturing system architecture, product design and producing contract engineering deliverables.
  • Creating solutions in response to customer requirements, from concepts through to in-life support.
  • Managing interfaces and trade-offs between systems, sub systems and functions.
  • Developing, building, testing and trialling solutions.
  • Supporting in-service systems, troubleshooting technical faults.
  • Creating high quality design documentation.
  • Requirements management, justification and decomposition.
  • Planning Validation, Verification, Test and Acceptance activities.
  • Ensure task and project risks are communicated and managed appropriately.

      2. Pro-active engineers with a theoretical and practical engineering background.
      3. Have a proven track record of successful systems engineering design and support.
      4. Engineering expertise across the engineering lifecycle V-Model or equivalent from initial concepts, requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, maintenance and supportability.
      5. Work collaboratively with the product and functional specialisms to deliver a cohesive solution for the customer.
      6. Has an awareness of both technical and project risks and is able to understand how these need to be managed.
      7. Exercises care for own health and safety and that of others as defined by Health and Safety. legislation, adhere to endorsed Company policy, procedures and delegations (e.g. Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion, Performance & Development Reviews and Finance etc.)
      8. Experience

        We are looking for a number of engineers with experience in the following areas:

      9. Military BLOS Communications systems
      10. Cisco CCNA/CCNP, MOD JSP604, Security by Design, WAN/LAN
      11. VMWare, SAN
      12. RF transmission & reception systems, antennas & RF distribution
      13. Audio and data communications & switching
      14. Software & Hardware integration
      15. Test & acceptance campaign planning, preparation & conduct
      16. IBM’s Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORs)

      25. Education and qualifications

      26. HNC/HND or Degree in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering.
      27. Cisco Certified Network Associate/Practitioner
      28. Incorporated Engineer or working towards
      29. Equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed
