Position – Supplier QA Procurement Project Manager
Type – Contract
Rate – Circa £60.00 per hour Umbrella Company (DOE)

Hours – Typically 37.5 hours per week
Location – Derby, Derbyshire, UK
Determination – Inside IR35

OBJECTIVES & MISSIONS
• Monitor and manage the operational performance of a supplier panel in terms of quality in collaboration with Quality job field, Supplier Quality Assurance and logistics from the selection phase to the series production phase
• Manage the action plans with suppliers in the event of recurrent performance drift, until there is a return to an acceptable level of performance
• In the framework of an established contract, obtaining and concluding the implementation of improvement plans with suppliers, enabling them to continuously increase their maturity level
• Guaranteeing the consistency of improvement actions initiated by all the parties in the supply chain responsible for the suppliers  

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES
Knowledge

• Knowledge of the development and production processes
• Knowledge of industrial management methods (kanban, MRP2, VMI, EDI…)
• Educational level: min. Bac +5 (Master’s Degree equivalent)
• Mastery of Quality tools (AMDEC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5P, etc.) Skills
• Cross-functional management
• Operational experience of over 5 years fully in contact with suppliers in a structure such as purchasing, supply chain, quality
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Project management
• Lean-Sigma Greenbelt Qualities
• Highly organized rigorous and achievement of goals oriented 

MAIN ACTIVITIES
• Managing the quality and logistics performance of the panel suppliers in coordination with the procurement, supplier quality and purchasing teams
• Defining and coordinating the monitoring plan. Validating its implementation with the procurement and supplier quality teams. Validating the risk analyses and associated actions. Measuring and analysing the efficiency of the monitoring and ensuring that it is capitalized upon and continuously improved
• Planning, coordinating and possibly conducting the following audits and assessments with suppliers: Capacity, Production Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Process, etc and ensuring that they are successfully concluded
• Conducting monthly consolidation of supplier performance. Ensuring the consistency of the measures taken by the suppliers. Establishing, distributing and sharing the scorecard
• Managing supplier ratings
• Conducting internal supplier performance coordination reviews. Coordinating and monitoring internal action plans and action plans with suppliers, and terminating them once the results are achieved and lasting
• Steering the supplier action plans in the event of recurrent malfunctions. Validating the corrective action requests and responses of suppliers in the event of recurrent and/or major incidents («supply chain crisis», quality alert, etc.)
• In the framework of the contract, coordinating the improvement actions of suppliers by: – defining the objectives on a half-yearly basis – incorporating the contextual elements of the supplier relationship >supplier commercial relationship and strategy >contracts in place >identified risks >performance obtained – guaranteeing the commitment of the supplier – organizing and carrying out diagnostics with suppliers – validating the action plan and measuring its efficiency
• Providing an interface for any problems of performance with respect to the supply chain and program contacts of the Safran companies
• Participating in ensuring the smooth operation of the bodies associated with the management, reporting and scaling up of the procedure
• Assisting the purchasing director in preparing the supplier performance steering committees
• Consolidating and passing on the non-quality costs and logistics penalties in coordination with the buyer responsible for the supplier. Ensuring their payment
