Business Application Developer / Analyst

My client are looking for a business application developer / analyst to join one of their UK sites.
What you’ll be doing-
- Be an expert in business applications with a good understanding of installation and configuration in the wider engineering environment and other functional disciplines, including offerings from a wide range of product vendors such as IBM, Dassault, Siemens & Mentor.
- Operate as the subject matter expert, providing professional advice and making recommendations to support business queries and requirements definition.
- For assigned business applications, you will self-sufficiently design and develop business process enhancing solutions using preferred tools.
- Support established in-house developed solutions.
- Provide advice on application configuration procedures and guidelines.
- Add value to existing business processes and procedures by directly improving or highlighting opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understand the business requirements and translate it into solution framework / architecture.
- Provide support for migration projects as and when required.
What we’re looking for-
- Ability to operate independently with limited super supervision.
- Have a good understanding of engineering methodologies including systems integrations, web services and windows server management.
- Mentor Logic
- AIX Systems Administration
- Unix Script Maintenance
- Java Development (spring framework MVC preferred), Java Server Pages (JSP) & JavaScript (JS)
- REST/SOAP Web Services
- SQL / Oracle Database Awareness
