Principal / Senior Software Engineers (C++)

My client are seeking enthusiastic and motivated principal / senior Software Engineers with a track record of delivery quality software, to join their dynamic team.

What you’ll be doing

You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of both the Traffic Management and Cloud Data Management solutions.

Responsibilities and tasks:

-Delivery high quality, high performance, low latency software components.
-Work closely with system architects to provide high/low level design material.
-Implement against quality processes to enable on time delivery via CICD pipelines.
-Be an active contributor to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

-Minimum 2:1 BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent relevant to Software Engineering.
-Highly proficient in C++ with at least 4 years (senior) / 8 years (principal) experience developing high performance, low latency server applications for Linux / Unix based environments.
-Demonstrable experience working with database technologies (relational and/or NoSQL)
-Strong knowledge of OS/Networking concepts.
-Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.

Desirable:

-Experience in other programming languages such as Java or Python.
-Experience with mobile technologies and standards.
-Experience working in a DevOps/CICD Environment.
-Experience in mentoring other software engineers.
-Experience working directly with customers or with support/professional services teams to deliver solutions and critical fixes.
