Senior C++ Quality Software Engineer, Remote (York)
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an engineer responsible for software quality, you will work in and with agile projects to support the integration of quality tools (static code analysers, etc.) into their build systems and development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Improve tools by analysing findings/warnings to identify false positives and discuss improvements as well as new features with the vendors
- Consulting projects in modern software development especially for the unit testing
- Evaluate internal, third party and open-source tools on the market and evolve the tooling strategy
- Testing, releasing and deploying new tools and new tool versions taking into account ISO 26262 classification and qualification
- Implement APIs, scripts and plug-ins for integrating the tools into e.g. CI-Pipelines or IDEs
Skills
- Deep coding skills with C++
- Linux
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art software development technologies and methods especially for unit verification
Desirable Skills
- C++ coding guidelines (ideally MISRA, CERT, etc.) and the ISO 26262 standard
- Experience with compilers and build System on Windows and Linux
