We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to support the Technical Programme Manager within a Defence and Cyber organisation, executing both the customer focused role in the PMO and internal focused role to plan and control the companies project.

This role would be suited to an individual currently in a Project Support/Project Controls role looking to enhance their skills in Project Management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assistance in the establishment of an effective Programme Management Office; 
• Produce and maintain all project documentation. Specifically when required, create, update and maintain documents and records including (but not limited to) communication plans, templates, reporting schedules, risk matrices and design documentation;
• Perform high-level project planning and scheduling to create and agree Delivery Plans;
• Drive effective project governance to monitor and maintain projects in line with scope, budget and timelines; 
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) including the coordination of meetings and reviews needed to progress the work;
• Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses, or escalating them and respond to issues that affect products;
• Ensure effective and timely communication and provision of information and reports to project governance authorities;
• Handle cross organisational projects liaising with project stakeholders;

• Project Management Practitioner Qualification;
• Extensive experience as a Project Manager in a similar role
• Experience in directly managing a large team;
• Financial and commercial awareness 
• Educated to degree level, or equivalent
