An opportunity has become available with one of our clients for an Electronics Design Engineer to work within a high tech company that specialises in an extensive range of Energy Controls technology.
We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer who is passionate about Hardware and Firmware. This opportunity will give the successful candidate the chance to work alongside a team of multi-skilled engineers producing products of the future.
Realisation of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware and firmware solutions
Documentation of design specifications and implementation details
Collaboration with other team members including hardware, firmware, software and mechanical engineers to formalise specifications, interfaces etc.
Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to qualify operation of hardware
Design of analogue and high-speed digital circuits
Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
Support Production to aid manufacture of the designed Products.
Design, develop, code, test and debug system software.
Upholding of hardware and firmware design standards and methodologies.
To be the design authority for identified product lines to include the authorisation of design changes and alternative or substitute component usage.
Perform compliance, regulatory and functional product testing in house and with third parties to ensure conformance for new and existing product.
Key Competencies /Skills:
A background in High-Speed Digital Design, who has a working knowledge of analogue circuit design and experience in developing high tech products from concept through to production in line with regulatory standards.
Comprehensive knowledge of Embedded Microcontrollers including Microchip PIC and STM32.
Experience with Communication Implementations including Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB and CAN Bus
Expertise with Real-Time Embedded C Software Development
Low power, energy efficient design
Design Consideration for EMC and use of associated Test Equipment
Self-motivated and capable of dealing with fast moving and varied events which are demanding. Able to analyse complex situations and give balanced well-considered decisions.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and able to deal with people at all levels both in and outside the business.
UK driving license
Working knowledge of sensors and RF design would be advantageous
Experience with EMC, Standards & Compliance
