Position Description

The BMS Project Design Engineer is responsible for providing the delivery of the design of projects identifying value engineering opportunities.
This role requires the applicant to be fully proficient in BMS Design with full experience of Software & Graphics production & Commissioning.
Responsible for coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership of any subcontract designs (e.g. Panels), they must have good communications skills and be willing to travel.

They will also convert the above functional specification document into an operational system then witness off site testing to confirm operational effectiveness.

They will use Change Control logs to create a full audit trail of all design changes in order to support the Project Manager in his Change Order Management activities
Position Deliverables

1. Technical
? Possess a comprehensive understanding of high end BMS / HVAC applications.
? Manage software and graphics delivery.
? Control systems design, implementation, and documentation.
? Full knowledge of relevant UK design standards (e.g. BSRIA Application Guide AG 7/98)
? Provide support for project handover and customer training.

? Provide technical direction to project team members.
? Provide Technical Support to Engineering group

? Providing support to carryout peer reviews
? Maintain documentation to provide audit trail
? Relevant design standards knowledge and experience

5.Health, Safety, and environment
• Relevant HSE accreditations
• Working knowledge of CDM

Skills

Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desirable but not essential.
Excellent computer skills
Previous experience working with highly complex technical solutions
Knowledge of networking, database technology and trends in ITT would be highly advantageous
Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology based projects

Pay rate – £35 – £40 p/h (PAYE) dependent upon experience
