The primary role is to provide guidance and support to new PSU and System designs with respect to “Design for EMC”.

The role includes the opportunity to develop your technical and review skills in the design phases of various projects; and Future PPS Programmes.  Design for EMC guidance, including simulations at System, LRI, SRI and PCA levels, Interconnects, Earthing & Bonding, will be key to your and our success in the future. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

In order to be considered for this role you will have previous experience working within a similar hardware role. Ideally you will possess a minimum of HND in Engineering or Systems or related technical discipline.

You will ideally have knowledge in the following areas;

• Design for EMC
• Design experience of Product & associated Test Equipment
• Test experience of Systems, LRIs, SRIs and PCAs
• Fault diagnosis to component level
• Measurement & Instrumentation systems.
• Electrical & RF Safety.
• Electrical power systems
• HyperLynx DRC
• You should be familiar with Microsoft Office and Visio.

You should be familiar with a recognised Schematic and Simulation toolset.

• Experience with Mentor Graphics
• Simetrix or LT Spice
